1. How do I sign up to sell lemonade?
A: Fill out the form and send it to us by April 15th.
2. How do I get a form?
A: Go to the 2011 Sign-up link above, fill out the form and mail it to us. If you have any questions, contact us at info@kidshelpingkidsalexandria.org or you can reach us at may21@cox.net or at 703-317-1911.
3. Will you provide the supplies?
A: Yes, Kids helping Kids will provide lemonade, pitcher, a money can, cups, a special LEMONAIDE t-shirt and an office sign to post with your stand. All you need to bring is water, ice, a spoon to stir the lemonade, and enthusiasm! Feel free to make cookies or brownies to sell with the lemonade to increase your sales and earn more for our charities!
4. Where do I pick up the lemonade kit?
A: On Lemonaide Day, Saturday, May 7th, you can pick up the lenonade kit at Market Square between 8:00 AM until 9:00AM. Please return the materials as well as the money you raised selling lemonade to us at Market Square between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
5. Do you use any of the lemonade sale proceeds to cover "administrative costs"?
A: NO! We get donations from stores and businesses for the t-shirts, lemonade and other supplies and corporate and family sponsors help cover all the remaining costs. All proceeds from lemonade sales, corporate and individual donations go directly to the children's charities we have chosen to support. We deposit all the donations at Burke & Herbert (which doesn't charge us any fees for the account) until we have all our collections for the year, and then donate the funds to the charities. THANK YOU BURKE & HERBERT! |
